GPL-2.0 License
Both PizzaLayer (free) and PizzaLayerPro (paid) are released under the GNU General Public License v2.0. Open source, no proprietary lock-in.
The core plugin is free of charge and GPL-licensed. Download, use, modify, and redistribute freely under the terms of the GPL.
PizzaLayerPro is sold commercially but is also GPL-licensed. A purchase funds development — it does not restrict your GPL rights.
The GNU General Public License (GPL) guarantees your freedom to use, study, share, and modify the software. Key rights under GPL-2.0:
These freedoms apply to both PizzaLayer and PizzaLayerPro. Purchasing PizzaLayerPro provides access to the code, updates, and support — the GPL rights come with the software regardless.
GPL-2.0 is a copyleft license. If a modified or extended version of PizzaLayer or PizzaLayerPro is distributed, the distribution must also be under GPL-2.0. This ensures derivative works remain open.
Themes, plugins, or code that merely use PizzaLayer via its public API, REST endpoints, or shortcodes are not considered derivative works and are not required to be GPL-licensed.
